Clear Orbit Labs · DexNest
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 9, 2026
DexNest stores your collection in your Chrome profile. It sends card searches and card identifiers to catalog and pricing services to provide its features. It has no advertising, analytics, account registration, or payment system.
This policy explains how Clear Orbit Labs handles information when you use the DexNest Chrome extension and this privacy-policy webpage. DexNest is a free Pokémon card collection manager.
1. Information stored on your device
DexNest uses Chrome’s local extension storage to save your inventory, including card names and identifiers, expansions, languages, printings, quantities, grading companies and grades, price estimates, guide links, and update timestamps. It also stores price-refresh progress and related operational information.
This inventory is stored in your Chrome profile. DexNest does not upload your full collection backup to a Clear Orbit Labs server and does not provide a cloud account or cloud inventory service.
2. Card searches, images, and pricing requests
To find cards and retrieve price estimates, DexNest makes HTTPS requests to TCGdex (api.tcgdex.net) and PriceCharting (www.pricecharting.com). Requests may include card search terms, names, numbers, expansion, language, and identifiers for cards you search for or save. Automatic price refreshes request information about saved cards.
DexNest obtains available TCGplayer pricing through TCGdex. Card images may load from assets.tcgdex.net and storage.googleapis.com. These services receive the information required to serve requests, including your IP address and standard connection information, and may keep their own server logs under their policies.
DexNest retrieves card data, images, and price-guide content. It does not execute scripts from those price-guide pages or monitor the pages you browse.
3. Optional support reports
The “Report missing price” link opens a draft in your configured email handler addressed to clearorbitlabs@gmail.com. The draft contains the selected card’s identity, expansion, language, printing, grading selection, app version, and available lookup message. You can review and edit it before sending; DexNest does not send it automatically.
If you send a report or contact us, we receive your email address, any sender name your email service includes, and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer support requests and investigate problems. DexNest does not read your mailbox, contacts, or other email messages.
4. How information is used and shared
Information is used to manage your inventory, find cards, display and refresh available price estimates, maintain refresh progress, create and restore backups, and provide requested support.
We do not sell user data, use it for advertising or unrelated profiling, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility. Transfers to catalog, pricing, image, and email services are limited to providing the features described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
Our use of information handled by DexNest complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide or improve DexNest’s collection-management features and requested support.
5. Permissions
- Storage: saves your collection and price-refresh information locally.
- Alarms: schedules daily price checks and continuation of refresh batches.
- Side panel: opens DexNest in Chrome’s sidebar when requested.
- Host permissions: allow card and pricing requests to TCGdex and PriceCharting.
DexNest does not request access to your browsing history, location, passwords, microphone, camera, or payment information.
6. Your choices and data deletion
You can edit and remove inventory entries within DexNest. Exporting a backup creates a file on your device; importing reads the file you select to restore entries. You control those files and where you share them.
Removing the extension clears its local extension storage. Export a backup first if you want to keep your collection. Uninstalling does not delete previously exported files; delete those separately if desired.
For support messages, you may request deletion by emailing clearorbitlabs@gmail.com. We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve requests and maintain necessary support records, and may retain information where legally required. We cannot delete local inventory files on your behalf or control third-party service logs.
7. Security and this webpage
Card and pricing requests use HTTPS. Local collection data is protected by your device and Chrome profile; exported backups are ordinary files and should be stored securely. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
This policy page has no analytics scripts, advertising, contact forms, or tracking integrations added by Clear Orbit Labs. Its hosting provider may process IP addresses and standard request logs to deliver and secure the webpage.
8. Changes and contact
If DexNest’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its last-updated date. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to Clear Orbit Labs at clearorbitlabs@gmail.com.
